Brain Research Institute
Research on Total Brain Functioning
The Brain Research Institute was established inspired
by the research of the late Professor Nicolaï N. Lyubimov,
Head of Laboratory of Neurocybernetics, Moscow Brain Research Institue
of Academy of Medical Sciences, Russia, and President of Maharishi
Vedic University in Moscow.
Professor Lyubimov found that those who practise
Transcendental Meditation have access to the 'brain reserve'.
This
means that they have access to the total potential of Creative Intelligence,
the holistic value of brain functioning which supports the partial
values of activity of specific parts of the brain during the processes
of seeing, touching, smelling, tasting, hearing, and their corresponding
actions.
This means that as the practice advances, the
individual mind is increasingly in tune with the Cosmic Mind in
a spontaneous manner, and all thought, speech, and action have the
support of the infinite organizing power of Natural Law.
'Transcendental Meditation is a natural
way to fathom the Unified Field; to develop the whole brain to function
in every thought, speech, and action, and promote excellence in
one's personal and professional life.' —Maharishi
Leading research on total brain functioning continues
today at the Brain Research Institute, a department of the Institute
of Science, Technology and Public Policy, Fairfield, Iowa, USA.
