Maharishi University of Enlightenment (MUE) is licensed by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina to grant bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees degrees in Maharishi Vedic Science, the science of consciousness. Founded in 1998, it is the first university in America to offer a curriculum that is totally Vedic Science based—Total Knowledge based—enlightenment based. This university is also unique in its emphasis on the direct experience of Vedic Science. The experience-based approach of Maharishi University of Enlightenment allows students to take advantage of one of the key principles of Maharishi’s Vedic Education, the principle of ‘knowing by Being’.
